Celebrating Milestones and Achievements as a Family

Izumi Global held its first-ever Izumi Summit with its licensees, educators, and staff last December 12, 2019, at the Peninsula Manila Hotel, Makati City. It was a day full of learning, sharing, and camaraderie for everyone. The Izumi Philippine Summit was a time to celebrate milestones and achievements as an Izumi family.

As part of the summit, CEO and President Hayato Yazaki, Vice President Kenji Ishimura, and General Manager Erika Cesar presented plans for the year 2020 and important learning points in order to nurture more students in Izumi Centers.

Special guest-speakers Ms. Maria Josefa Maggay of Izumi Grace Mall Center and Ms. Geraldine Santos of Izumi Commonwealth Center shared with other Izumi franchisees their center experience and how they are continuously improving their centers’ practices.

Izumi also awarded three exceptional students who have shown great potential and significant growth while they are enrolled in Izumi. Awardees, Giana Paula Fernando and Kishia Alexa San Juan of Izumi Grace Mall Center, and Isaiah So of Izumi Vista Verde Center were awarded the Izumi Achiever Award.



To also honor the first-ever Izumi Center in the Philippines, the Izumi Pioneer Award was awarded to Izumi Grace Mall Center as Izumi’s flagship center in the Philippines. Izumi Grace Mall Center was the first to trust Izumi and opened its center in March 2019 in Taguig City, Metro Manila. Franchisees, Dr. Bhelle Linggan, and Ms. Maria Josefa Maggay accepted the award on behalf of the Izumi Grace Mall Center team.

Izumi is the newest Japanese afterschool program in the Philippines. Established in 1977 in Nagano, Japan, Izumi Global has expanded to the Philippines in November 2018. Izumi aims to nurture Filipino children by letting children have fun while learning and learning while having fun with its Nippon Math program.
